The Guest Lodge

Hand-built and furnished almost entirely with wood harvested from our land, the Lodge has seven guest rooms, a large living room and a complete kitchen and dining room. Everywhere there are large windows taking in the magnificent view. Lofts, cozy nooks, art work, plants, and a fireplace.

Not exactly a hotel, motel or B&B, this place is in a unique category of its own. In keeping with our simple philosophy, overnight guests share bathrooms and bring their own sheets, blankets, pillows & towels (we do have a limited number of sets for rent if you cannot do this for some reason).

All rooms have a double bed in them and most have a single or bunk bed as well. Rooms are decorated with original art, barn board, old farm implements, etc.

The farmhouse across the street serves primarily as our residence. The “West End” has a separate entrance, a unit with three additional bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and screened porch.

WIFI available in the lodge and barn at no charge.

Winter guests:

When you can't cross country ski...

There are plenty of things to do even if it doesn't snow. For alpine skiers and snowboarders, Berkshire East Ski Area has continuously enlarged its snowmaking system and is only a few minutes away. They also have a tubing hill and an Alpine Coaster ride for non-skiers. There are numerous winter hiking & mountain biking possibilities as well.  Touring the village of Shelburne Falls and other picturesque New England towns in the area is another favorite activity. A trip to MassMoCA is worth it at any time of year. In fact, many of our "old standbys" return year after year and don't ski at all!
