Tour Stump Sprouts
Here’s a brief tour of our facilities.
The Farmhouse
Our classic New England farmhouse sits facing the distant hills, with its back to the old sugar bush that was once an integral part of the farm. The "West End" has 3 bedrooms upstairs, wide spruce plank floors, and 2 shared bathrooms. In the winter, the ski rental area and day skier warming room are downstairs. In the warmer months, the downstairs becomes a separate living room with a comfortable attached screened porch.

The Barn
Across the street from the Farmhouse is an old dairy barn which has been converted into a large multi-purpose space. In summer months, a unique moveable ceiling exposes the roof timbers thirty feet above the floor and two lofts, which are reached by a spiral staircase up through the old silo. The large windows allow for plenty of natural light. It serves as a game room with comfy furniture, lots of wooden games, etc. We have tables and chairs that may be brought in to the space as a classroom or art studio. Or, the furniture can all be taken out for dancing, yoga, etc. The floors are native hardwood, and rugs are available.

The Lodge
Built and furnished almost entirely from timbers harvested on this land, the lodge is perched atop a high meadow with dramatic views to the south and east. On the top two levels, there are six, bunkrooms (one of which has a divider) and a living room with a fireplace. On the bottom level, there is a dining room and kitchen. There are also four shared bathrooms.

The Land
Surrounding the three buildings are several organic gardens which produce multitudes of flowers and vegetables for the kitchen. There is a wood-fired sauna and outdoor shower a short distance from the lodge. The lodge patio, surrounded by perennial flowerbeds in the summer and bathed in sunshine in the winter, is a favorite outdoor gathering spot. We have a variety of outdoor games along with a volleyball court and a horseshoe pit. A network of trails cover our 450 acres, and are great for hiking and mountain biking in the summer and skiing and snowshoeing during the winter.
