General Information:
Hilltop Orchards – home of the well-known apple orchard and Furnace Brook Winery -- has opened a new x-country ski and snowshoe center this season. Set on 200 gently sloping acres in Richmond, Massachusetts, trails will be groomed within the orchard for both classic and skating-style skiing and snowshoeing, great for beginner and intermediate skiers. The scenic 20-mile views into the southern Berkshires are breathtaking!
Hilltop Orchards welcomes skiers and non-skiers alike:
Ski on groomed and tracked trails through the orchard including skating and snowshoe
Warm up by the fire in the Barrel Room day lounge
FREE tasting of Furnace Brook Wines
Farm Winery Store, featuring hot cider, fresh baked goods and cheeses
$10 trail fees, $6 for 12 and under, season passes $60

New Yudon snowshoe rentals are available for $19 at Hilltop Orchards.
Rentals of cross country skis are available at the nearby Arcadian Shop in Lenox (413-637-3010 www.arcadianshop.com) or Plaine’s in Pittsfield (413-499-0204 www.plaines.com).

From NYC: Taconic Pkwy to Exit for Rt 295 in Chatham, turn right onto Rt 295 and follow east for 10.7 miles
NY Thruway, Exit 21A to I-90/Mass Pike East to Exit for B3/Rt 22 towards Austerlitz for 2.7 miles then right onto Rt 295 for about 2 miles
